Top 10 Favorite Camp Spots

Jordan River, BC — This spot is located at the Jordan River Regional Park Campground. It is first-come first-served. More info here!
Prescott, AZ – This spot is located in the Prescott National Forest along the S Senator Highway. There are a few areas along this road that are big enough for trailers but most are more equipped for a van.
Olympic Peninsula, WA – This spot is located along a river in one of the most beautiful settings. It’s actually someone’s land who allows people to park for $5 per night on the honor system (so please pay). Click for Allens Bar Campground Location
Mammoth, CA – This spot is great in the spring time, just before it gets too hot. It is located in close proximity to the hot springs and some decent fly fishing! Click here for location.
Santa Cruz, CA – This spot is actually just south of Santa Cruz but offers a great location right on the sand and easy access to all that Santa Cruz has to offer. You can reserve a spot at Seacliff State Beach here. Or
Sedona, AZ – There is a lot of dispersed camping along the Loy Butte Rd. If you want to get a good spot, you have to drive down the dirt road about 5+ miles. Click here for map of location.
Encinitas, CA – One of my most favorite spots to camp! This spot is located at San Elijo State Beach. You can attempt to make a reservation here or do what I’ve found to be the most successful and just show up and hope for a cancellation!
Stanley, ID – Such a great spot with views of the Sawtooth Mountains and access to fly fishing! Location can be found here.
Carbondale, CO – Hands down one of my all time favorite spots in the fall! Located near Dinkle Lake. You can find a number of spots along this road here.
Newport, CA – If you are looking for a spot with an epic view, this one is it! Located at Crystal Cove State Park, this is one spot that is hard to get. Definitely stalk the reservations if you don’t get a spot when they first release. You can book a spot here.
